Objectives

The students are capable of classifying and understanding the socio-political and historical aspects of decisions by the German Ferderal Constitutional Court. Ater the completion of the module, the students are able to critically analyse legal arguments. At the same time the students are able to scientifically deal with a complex problem through autonomous research.

Description

Concepts, organization and structure of the German court system, specifically constitutional judicature. Analysis of selected court decisions (e.g. Census, Right to be forgotten, Mephisto) and the relevant basic rights (e.g. Art. 2 I, Art. 1 I; Art. 5)
