Nicolas Ziegler studied law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich from 2013 to 2020 with a focus on public commercial and infrastructure law. From 2020 to 2022, he completed his legal traineeship in Augsburg, Munich and Brussels (professional field of international and European law). He completed his elective station at a German business association in Brussels, where he mainly dealt with digital policy and data law. From 2018 to 2021, he was a research assistant at the German Research Institute for Public Administration (FÖV), Speyer in the programme area "Transformation of the State in Times of Digitalization".
Since June 2022, he is a research assistant at the Chair of Law and Security in Digital Transformation of Professor Dr. Dirk Heckmann. His research focuses on cyber security law, government surveillance measures, data law, as well as constitutional and administrative law.
