Our Mission

We support the transition to a responsible mobility system where where people are guaranteed to access destinations and fulfill their activity needs (function) with high service quality (form), minimal long-term societal impacts (forever) and fair cost distribution (fair). The professorship is strategically situated at the intersection of social and engineering sciences, advancing knowledge and methods in three core areas: (1) travel behavior, (2) decision-support and appraisal, and (3) simulation and optimization.  We actively transfer our insights into practice through teaching and collaboration with industry stakeholders.
