Yerko Calquín Miranda finished his Master’s in Transportation Systems at TUM with focus on transportation demand management in October 2025. His thesis analyzed the behavioral impact of a Metro line extension on users in Santiago, Chile. Previously, after his Industrial Engineer degree at U. de Chile (2017), he worked, among others, in the Public Transport Office in Santiago in two stints, first in Regulation and Finances (2017-2018), and then in Strategy and Contracts Management (2022-2023). His research today is centered on analyzing the impact of transit-oriented policies at a network level with simulation tools.
