The ClimateVisions project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) focuses on the importance of automated image analysis for understanding the reactions and emotions of images about climate change in social media. Combining expertise from social science and visual computing, the project aims to map what type of climate change related images prevail on social media and what kind of reactions and emotions they elicit in debates among social media users.
