Katalin Schneider
PhD Candidate and Research Assistant

Katalin is a doctoral student and research assistant at the Professorship since February 2025. She graduated with an MSc in Social Data Science from the University of Oxford. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor degree in Political Science at the Technical University of Munich spending one semester at Sciences Po Paris.
Katalin also gained experience at the United Nations, where she worked as an intern in the field of economic development with a special focus on Latin America and the Caribbean, receiving funds from the Carlo Schmid program.
She is particularly interested in using big data, machine learning and quantum computing methods for political science research.
Office hours are held on Wednesday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Individual appointments can be booked via email to katalin.schneider@tum.de.
