Andras Molnar is Senior Digital Policy Manager & Director of Online Safety at the TUM Think Tank. He leads projects on digital policy, including artificial intelligence, data governance and privacy, cybersecurity, and children in the digital environment, providing evidence-based policy analysis and guidance to stakeholders. Andras also directs the Think Tank’s online safety portfolio.
In addition to his role at the TUM Think Tank, Andras is an Affiliate at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, where he lectures and develops research on digital transformation, focusing on how it can be shaped to serve economic and societal priorities.
Prior to his appointment at the TUM Think Tank, Andras served for nearly seven years as a Policy Analyst at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), where he focused on the digital economy and provided evidence-based policy analysis and guidance to the governments of member countries on artificial intelligence, data governance and privacy, online safety, children in the digital environment, and cybersecurity. His contributions were recognised at the G7, by the White House, and adopted by the G20 Leaders.
Andras publishes extensively. He has authored and co-authored several books, reports, and articles, including the OECD Digital Economy Outlook, numerous Digital Economy Papers, and Digital Policy Briefs. He also played a key role in launching the Global Forum events on Digital Security for Prosperity, which has become one of the most influential multilateral platforms on cybersecurity.
Earlier in his career, Andras held roles at the United States Congress, the United Nations, and the European Parliament.
