Objectives

Students will learn the basics of law, the systematics of the legal system and legal methodology. They will also get to know the particularities of law in times of digitalisation.

Description

The lecture offers a fundamental introduction to the applicable German and European law and systematically addresses the legal regulations of constitutional and administrative law as well as civil law. Legal methodology and legal theory are also covered. The special feature of this lecture is that the role of digitisation is also presented in all fundamentals (e.g. contract conclusion or official approval) (from smart contracts to the administrative database on the blockchain). This is intended to illustrate the transformation of the law.

Teaching and learning methods

Lecture with interactive elements and smaller homework. An accompanying exercise is offered.

Examination

At the end of the semester, an exam (90 minutes processing time) is offered.
