About Me
I am a second-year PhD student at the University of Camerino (Italy) under the supervision of Prof. Marco Piangerelli and Prof. Carlo Lucheroni. I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics and Applications from the University of Camerino. During my studies, I focused on mathematical optimization techniques applied to machine learning, with particular attention to time series forecasting models.
Currently I am a visiting researcher for six months at the Chair of Responsible Data Science at TUM, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gjergji Kasneci and Dr. Bardh Prenkaj. My research project focuses on counterfactual explainability in temporal graph models applied to real-world healthcare data.
Research Focus
My research focuses on graph neural networks, with a specific interest in spatio-temporal models for time series classification and forecasting. I am interested in exploring how time series data can be represented as spatio-temporal graphs, and how effectively graph neural network models can extract meaningful patterns from these structures.
My project at TUM investigates how the explanations generated by these models evolve over time. The goal is to develop reliable, graph-based explanations that provide meaningful and timely insights into brain connectivity patterns, particularly in the context of epilepsy-related conditions.
